Default Short Ram or Cold Air?

Trying to decide between a short ram and cold air intake. What's a good brand for each?

Nobody makes a cold air intake for the 2IS, that would require drilling through bumper/frame/enginebay.

You want loud and +-5hp? Get a K&N, Takeda, or Greddy

You want quieter but guaranteed 5hp? Get the Fsport or JoeZ.

You wont feel 5 hp so I went for sound and got a Takeda

PPE is finishing their cold air intake which is a true cold air intake, and no drilling through anything that I am aware of. We dynoed my vehicle last week with it and I believe the car put down 308RWHP (I wasn't there). I'll be posting the dyno sheet and details as soon as I get them.

Bob is right though, the basic intakes out there right now are pretty much pipe and filter upgrades. If you want to wait for one that actually has the filter out of the engine bay, then be patient and it should be released soon from what I am being told by them.

Do you know what that intake is going to run for?

Lmao your intake is a short air not cold air. As you can see your filter sit were the factory box is. To be cold air it must go all the way to bottom bumper.

No it's not. Do you believe that it gives you 15hp too? Don't always believe the marketing. You may have lost power with this short ram intake
