E Shift on 99 GS400

Lease Payment
Not to brag, but I got a 2003 GS430 with a sticker price of $52,799 completely loaded for $648/mo. 42 months, 15,000 miles per year NO MONEY DOWN!
Bet you can't beat that. I got them to discount the car almost $6000. WOW! Made my decision a no brainer.

I don't see how a TQ (I assume a torque converter) would give you any additional power at all. Speaking to Mo at SRT, and others, ie. Dinan people, the TQ just gives you a higher stall thus not producing any additional power from the motor...no?
I'm surprised your car only dyno'ed at 230HP stock...I would have thought 240 ish considering stock 540's hit about 237RWHP stock from a 282 HP motor...unless BMW underrates them.
I thought 2+2 was 7
May I see your dyno chart? Interested in seeing your power curve, etc.

Bought my wife an Audi 4.2 A6 about 3 months ago...what a POS, we're selling it already. I may have to go hit up a Lexus dealer and see if I can get that deal on a lease as well? Did you MK and Nav? (are they both the same now?) Optional 17s?

GS430 Great Deal
Yes I got the Mark Levinson sound and Navigation - they are the same package. THe ML is the best sound system I have ever heard in a car period. 10 speakers and 240 Watts, I cannot get it to distort!
Also optional 17" wheels.
LOVE THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only problem is that I floor it too much!

GS430 Great Deal
By the way, I stayed away from Audi due to Consumer Reports low reliability rating and the fact that the car has a bland appearance. THe only thing I liked was the 4 rings in the front grill.

hehe, I LUV audi,
don't U bad mouth audi, yes they did have some problems in the past, but straight out, NO lexus can compete with audi.
I own a 2000Gs400 myself and all I can say is TRUST!
Specially the quattro.
2 of my friends have audi's. Audi allroad 2.7, audi a64.2, audi 2.7S4 6spd, audi TT 225hp, audi S8, trust me, i've driven them all,
i'm even considering buying a S4, (umm, not considering, 4sure
interms of reliability, their still good as longs as your still under warrenty, but hey its not that bad,
U have to pamper them a little more
like my friends S4 tranny popped at 23,000km(he drives like an animal) and so what did he do, he got the dealership to cover the tranny and he put the RS4 cluth, flywheel and all, now he's busting 13.2 @109mph at the track with just an APR chip. Plus the RS4 conversion is so cheap to hit low 12's, and i couldn't say nothing bad about audi,
My car won't even get the time to relax before RS4 conversion is done, PLUS in canada with all this snow, U need Quattro baby.
A64.2 is just amazing PERiod, ROCK solid car, I just didn't like the harsh SPorts seats handles amazing, fast. I personaly would have bought the 2.7T version because of all the potential it stores.

This system helps the engine breath much better and gives the car quicker acceleration and much crisper throttle response throughout the entire RPM range. It uses 3.5" mandrel bent steel pipes and 5061 aluminum heat shield, enamel coated and uses a 5" conical AFE lifetime air filter. It also includes an ECU that recalibrates the air-fuel ratios for optimal performance and enhanced fuel economy.
Adjusts the air-fuel ratio to optimal settings in conjunction with a high flow Intake system. The stock intake system from Lexus has deficiencies in supplying air needed by the engine.
i don't know where i put my dyno results, but umm here is the one from SRT themselves for just the intake system

BMW just has a better tranny than the GS,
stock at 282 on 6spd puts down like 260RWH i've seen dyno's,
but a slightly modded gs can put BMW to shame
cheaper to mod than BMW, more reliable.. etc, I can go on and on and on and on....
2+2 is 4 hehehe

GSTT, thanx.
What is the 226HP figure from SRT? Not stock is it? Also, I notice that the GS power curve looks a bit speratic, not flat, I wonder why.
If SRT gained 20RWHP from just an intake, I am amazed! I've driven GS400_PUSHER's car with SRT and TQ (not sure if it had ECU) but his car did seem more responsive than stock.
The A6 4.2, like I stated, only has AWD as an advantage over my Bimmer, IMO. Power is sub par for a V8, handling is pretty impressive actually but wifey no likey A6 no mo...
You're right, 2+2 is 4
