Supercharger ??

1. Stop telling folks (like me) who want to create a unique is250 to "just upgrade"... we're not that dumb, we know that a 350 is faster.
2. I was quoted 7k from ARMA about a week ago. As much as I like boost, I'm thinking of fabricating my own kit or finding a relatively cheaper alternative

Not sure if they sell 350s or ISFs in Australia, but I would upgrade instead of supercharging. You get more hosepower for your $$$.
Ive only seen the ARMA kit on youtube, but I know a few (and I mean a few) members here have the LMS kit (which was discontinued I believe)
Long story short, you will only have minor power gains ~40-50 hp, so you should trade up if possible

All you would need to do is inject more fuel into the system, which will eliminate the lean burn and help the car attain the optimal A/F ratio. If the mixture is balanced, in theory, there should be no mechanical issues whatsoever.

BTW there is a rotrex c30-94 on ebay right now that (from the description) looks like it might be getting sold by arma. This is S/C only, not a kit. You would have to factor in the price of the oil kit (which usually comes with a rotrex) and a pulley as well as all the other stuff (piping, BOV, brackets, intercooler etc.), but if you were thinking of making your own kit from scratch anyway, this might be a place to start.
