Headers + Exhaust + Intake... now what?

lol im still scared. my friend used to have a is300... supercharged it, always running into issues, then put a turbo... always had problems. eventually he blew up his engine. it wasnt my car however it traumatized me
u know, its funny how ppl come here and say " you should have just got a faster car "
does that mean anytime someone wants to do a performance mod they shouldnt because they could have gotten a faster car? then you might as well never mod for speed because there are cars out there that are faster. come on guys ... thats lame

How about an air fuel ratio controller? Those do wonders with your air fuel ration maximizing everything your engine can push out. Our Air Fuel ratio is pretty rich because of the high compression and safety reasons set by Toyota/Lexus. Im sure there is a way to tune the ECU.
Next I would get are lightweight products, CF anything and everything you can Trunk, hood, fenders.. all the body parts even if you have to customize it.
I haven't heard of any forged internal parts for our engines, (camshafts, pistons, rods, or even bore out internals) but if you can't get a hold of those maybe customized if not available. All of which would do wonders to your power.

Not sure if your referring to my specific comment but I only said it because the 2IS is so limited in regards to performance mods. If you had an IS300, then that would be a different story since you can do real upgrades but at the same time, there are faster cars, that's all.
however i never complained of speed being an issue. im actually happy with is350 hp and current performance mods make it even better. i was just curious to see what else is there to do
doesnt mean im not happy with its speed

I've been running the mapecu3 for about a year now. It netted me about another 18-20whp but I dunno if you can justify the cost for just an NA setup. My goal was to boost eventually. In fact, I've been piecing together all the parts I need for my rear mount turbo setup and will be using the mapecu to control the tune.
I should have it up and running sometime this summer....and then start making kits for all these horsepower nuts.

Btw just remember speed isn't everything, that's why I laugh when ppl brag about high HP cars, I'm sure a fair amount of you hav seen Initial D or mayb top gear and see that a Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed ran a quick ap on the top gear track, it's about grip, power, stability, gearing, shifting, braking, etc. power is one ingredient to a Race-cake.....need to have all ingredient in perfect harmony to have a great car, and the 2IS has that potential peramometers with low stock curb weight (compared to my 2013 Hyundai genesis coupe being 3700-4000lbs),

I don't see a lot of talk about specific HP gains on these cars. It looks like you've done what you could as far as HP goes and I wonder how much HP gain that's created. Anyone know?
Seems like when posts are made about exhausts and/or intakes, the talk is all about the sound it makes instead of power gains and I know that's because the sounds are more significant than the actual gains..
I'm still curious as to power though...
