Default 98-99GS300 E-shift??? Possible???

Guys, can someone answer this?

what parts and pieces do you need to add to the existing tranny on the 98-99 gs300's to make them E-shift like the 01-02's???

I don't think this is possible (without spending a lot of money) for the 98-00 GS3's. For your model, you'd have to gate shift, which means to manually shift the gears as you drive.

Even though the '01-'02 GS3 model has it, I think they took it away from the '01-'02 GS4 models, right? I could totally be wrong about that, but I think I heard that somewhere.

ok, they took it away from the gs400 which is now the gs430.

the gs300 from 98-99 have the same tranny as the 00-01's but with the addition of the E-shift, SO if i can get the pieces it would be nice to have it on a 99 or a 98. I don't think it would be too much. Because if it were, then u might as well get a 00 instead of a 99.

I'm considering couple of things, which ever ends up better.

I just want to make a choice on the tranny first before i decide what year gs3 i should buy.
