it lets the two rear wheels rotate at different speeds in a turn, enhances cornering

I want one for my lowered 350 so I don't have to worry about getting stuck on driveways lol... plus the performance.

^LOL! Plus the Giken you can get customizable to your needs. Different preloads, clutch paks, 2-way/2.5 way, etc; just the best bang for the buck...if you can afford those kind of bucks!

Respencer, since you're in florida do you mind me asking how much everything cost you installed?
You're looking at a price range of $4k-4.5k total which includes the OS Giken Super Lock TCD LSD, 2 liters of the OS-250R synthetic gear oil, 8 hours of labor at a tuner shop, and (if desired) adding stronger differential mounts to eliminate potential wheel hop as the Super Lock will put a lot of stress to your drivetrain.

I took my car to Titan Motorsports in Orlando, FL for the Super Lock install. I don't think any shims were needed as nothing was mentioned to me regarding it. They only recommended I get the solid mount diff ears to beef up the differential to prevent wheel hop.

I am overdue in starting my own thread and sharing my complete thoughts with the community regarding my IS350 and the OS Giken Super Lock Traction Control Differential (TCD) which is the newest generation of the Super Lock LSDs. I should have the thread and pictures posted up by next weekend on either the Performance section or the main 2IS section. In the meantime, you can read what great praise Cobb Motorsports had to say about the OS Giken TCD installed on their 800hp GT-R:

http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/2010/03/...iken-rear-lsd/

I will honestly say that I've never experienced as much grip, balance, and fun as I have with my current set-up. With the combination of the TRD-tuned F-Sport suspension system, the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, and now the Super Lock TCD LSD, I've yet to break traction on corners that I previously used w/o the TCD. I'm still trying to learn my new corner entry and exit speeds and approaches as the OS Giken TCD is the real deal.

Well, I think my rear diff is destroying itself right now. On hard cornering, the side that bears the load is making a revolving clacking sound. IT goes in for service on Tuesday, and if it is the diff, I've been heavily considering swapping the is-f torsen lsd in there.

Redspencer, where did you source your solid mount diff ears?

Here you go:
http://www.titanmotorsports.com/sodiearmof.html

They are for the Supra but it can be made to work with the IS as well.

^I look forward to you up-coming thread! There just isn't much in way of those folks on here that have even touched the rear diff in these 2IS models...especially in the 350s. So the more info the better! Thanks for the link on those billet diff "ear" mounts; sounds simple enough of a mod.

^^Bummer to hear about your failing 350 diff; tell us what happens, take pics of the damage, and what you end up doing. If you DO end up going the IS-F '10+ Torsen route, I think you might be the first! Just make sure they use your 350 matching ring gear and pinion.
