I want to get an exhaust system for my 06 is250 6spd. Deciding between hks or greddy. anyone have opinions/experience on which is better? I'm looking for a deep, throaty sound. Loudness is okay but just don't want it to be excessively loud.

Personally I do not own either (except for the Evo3's predecessor, the Evo2), but I have heard both at meets and I feel the Evo3 is the better of the two. IMHO You should probably go see/meet members and find out for yourself rather than ask around.

Theyre both loud and deep. HKS is a little louder from what Ive read.

Loudness is subjective so it all depends. My HKS + Invidia is still quiet to me

I have heard the Greddy Evo 3. Very nice sound. That's the one i plan on getting on my IS250. Its not t0o loud but it does have a nice throaty sound. I still need to hear the HKS one but i hear they don't make them anymore.

lol the hks tips are too big for the bumper imo unless you have a nice rear lip to go with it
sound wise they're similar but the hks definitely louder (heard both in person) but neither are excessively loud
