Default Considering straight pipes

So I was bored today so I decided to unbolt the Y pipe so replicate having straight pipes. Man!!!! It sounds so beast. Right now it is still disconnected but with a nut between the flanges to hold it open. I'm gonna keep it like this for a few days to see if I wanna go through with straight pipes. Will the exhaust gas damage anything since it is being released underneath the car as opposed to the back? When straight piping, can I use the stock tips or do I have to get new ones?

It's fine to leave it disconnected for a few days. I wouldn't advise doing it since the gases rises into the car. But my friend did that for half a year before buying an exhaust lol. You can reuse the stock tips, they just clamp onto the pipe but why not buy new tips like the ones on the F-Sport exhaust?

It seems like it would sound like a monster. Hopefully youve sealed the gases that could potentially seep into the cabin. I would look at the GFX tips for visual touch up. You can always find a set in the classifieds going for cheaper than Sewell or your local dealership. Don't forget the video when complete. We'd love to see/hear it!

I feel like it would get annoying after a while, the solution for that is electronic cutouts, look it up on YouTube !
