I would have to agree with Gville. Mostly comes down the the launch and tires and tire pressure. With good summer tires I don't really see the car chirping 2nd on a drag strip if fairly stock. If you have some cheapo tires I guess it might try spinning some in cooler weather.

On a couple of trips to the track I was lazy and didn't care about doing "the dance"; I launched as I normally do and still netted same time/speeds as when I removed T/C. When not doing a burnout with street tires, is removing T/C really necessary? With good tires and proper inflation, in my own study it did nothing.

Thanks all, appreciate the info. Yeah, I looked at some threads on here beforehand and did 35psi in the rear and avoided the water box.

On a properly prepped track you shouldn't hear chirps into any gears. Hell, in my 400whp 2000lb Civic on street tires (Neo Gens) I couldn't chirp any gears with a STG V 4-puck clutch setup.
I'd try knocking down the psi to at least 30 psi, if not lower. Though I believe the sensors start to go off at 28 psi. Good job on avoiding the water box!

unfortunately my local track made it so that you cannot go around the bleach box anymore. I got some wheel hop on my other car trying to sling water off, and pop goes an axle
