Is an exhaust upgrade worth it for an IS250?

Default Is an exhaust upgrade worth it for an IS250?

I have been reading through the exhaust forums and notice the majority of upgrades are the 350. Is it worth to do an exhaust upgrade to a 250 even though it will just be for sound and looks? TIA

If you want more power, no. If just for sound yes.

Yea I figured if you add exhaust to these cars it would only be for sound and not a power adder. Thanks guys for the rresponses.

Depends on what route you want to go, how you drive your car, if you have family, wife, kids that may not appreciate the sound as you do. I would take your time and do your research, especially if you do not want any annoying cabin drone. The purpose is mainly for sound and looks, as well as the experience and feel of power. It may add a few HP if that is your only mod (1-3 if your are lucky),

Again take your time, sometimes paying more for a quality brand, tuned, tested and tried is worth paying for, compared to a cheaper brand which may not sound or look as good.

you might also want to look into exhaust tips if you are just going for that look.

What I am trying to avoid is having an annoying exhaust that sounds like a fart can. I am looking for a clean sound, not a lot of drone in the cabin. I was looking at the F-Sport exhaust, but I am still doing research on other systems. Has anyone gone with magnaflows? I see everyone with F-sport, HKS, or Greddy on the forums.

No exhaust system that fits on the IS250 will make your car sound like a fart can unless you decide to do a res or muffler delete. If you go with an axleback exhaust system, the sound will be nice and subtle.
