me : "Hey, saw your post here and had to ask; what model year diff might it be? '08-'09 or '10+? I've not read about anyone having yet had a '10+ model year Torsen in a 350 yet. So if you do, it would be the first I know of. If so, I'm very curious on your opinions on the mod and if you installed it, what difficulties or anything you came across during the process. Do you use the 350 ring gear and matching pinion or the ISFs?"
mrkim : "I have the 11 ISF diff, but took the a spare 08 rear subframe.I would try to look for a 12 pumpkin for it cools better. Change out the bushings on the rear subframe while your swapping it out. As for the ring gear and pinion to be honest it's been a while since I did the swap, I believed I used the ISF's gear and pinion.
I can get you answer when I get back to my shop and dig through my papers."
me : "So yeah, you're the first I've read about having a Torsen in the 350 then. Purchased brand new or second-hand from a wrecked IS-F? So after the install, what are you impressions of the Torsen? What does it allow you to do that the old open-diff didn't? Just curious."
mrkim : "I've driven many rear wheel cars; open diff, welded diff, clutch type hydro. I honestly have to say, I was not expecting anything different. You will feel the difference once you start taking the car in the more twisted area's of town or in the hills. Another would be when you turn off your traction control, the launch would be more even instead of the feeling of the car going from one side.
The torsen on the IS-F is great compared to what the is350 has stock, its a better upgrade. I normally get my diff, used but I would send it out to get it checked and possible rebuilt. Word of advice if you do get a hold of a IS-F rear diff, send it out to make sure its not a bust... often people who remove their rear diff are either abused or just plain doesn't know what they have."

Has anyone looked into pricing for a Torsen differential from the Sicon/Toyota dealership? I'd be interested to use a new diff. and put it into my pumpkin. If of course the price isn't too ridiculous.

^I came across one member, I spoke with him via PM. mrkim
I'll just say... you might want to get any confirmation of the possibility of this swap someplace else ...
He also claims to have a 587hp Naturally aspirated IS350 ... lol.
