Boosting with the twins... is250 turbo build

I remember the very first time I went to a dyno: it was with my bug eye WRX 9-10 years ago. Got there around 10am (noon appointment), and didn't get hooked up until after 2pm because they were fighting with the transmission on an EVO after a clutch job. Good times..
Even having been on the other side working at a speed shop and operating the dyno, people show up out of the blue or with cars that barely make it off the trailer that "only need minor tweaks." Time can get away from you when you are trying to get things right and it's much easier to try and wrap things up in one shot, than change out cars and then try and get back to where you were with the problem child.
It's always an adventure.

I have never dynod a car so I didn't know there were so many possible delays like what you guys mentioned. Couldn't run the car. Had to leave before they had a chance to unhook the e36 m3. I rescheduled for Monday so hopefully things go smoother then.
For those who asked about last nights ticket... I got pulled over for speeding. The chp officer said he visually estimated me doing 95 in a 65. I know for a fact I was doing over 120 but good thing his sight was way off. It's got so much pickup once you get going. Hard not to step on the throttle to hear the turbos spool. I told him I wasn't going to sign the ticket and he told my gf to start calling for a ride because I was going to get arrested. I ended up signing the ticket...

Finally had a chance to tap into the motor for the oil source and I totally screwed up! I temporarily ran high PSI oil lines from the oil filter bung to the turbos and I forgot to tighten one of the clamps and all the oil went everywhere! I literally thought I blew the motor... luckily it was just an oil line. I'm looking into custom stainless steel oil lines as we speak. Found a local shop that makes them and will be ordering them today. Hopefully they have them completed within a day or two. This project has gotten so damn expensive due to not buying all the correct parts the first time.

H0ly shTT what a sight!
You know Summit Racing sells any and all -AN braided ss fittings and hoses decently priced? I live 30mins from their headquarters and have used everything from their in house "summit" brand to Earls, mr. gasket, etc. I'd suggest buying a slew of proper fittings and calling it a day on this project.

You're bound and determined not to get that thing on the dyno aren't you?
While the self contained oiling system may not have been perfect, it was working right? There are more important things to worry about: like the health of your engine. Still no wideband and still haven't pulled any plugs I'm guessing?

And I thought I've made oily messes in my garage! LOL That one wins the trophy!
Glad you found it out in time before running the motor too low on oil.
Nice jack; I just picked up the same from HF for $60 this weekend!
For future reference, McMaster.com is my sole source for fittings and a host of other hardware odds and ends. They seem to carry everything!
Best of luck...and once you have the hoses made up, please post up the thread pitch of each port!

I'm determined to get this thing running right! Right now I'm actually glad I didn't end up dynoing it on Friday as the lines probably would have blown up on dyno and caused a bigger more expensive mess. I've come along way and spent soo much that I can't let a little oil hose stop me now! $79 for the custom stainless steel braided lines... not bad.

Turbo kit has been sold to Nsteezy. He'll be taking over from now on. Some things came up within the last couple days and I'll be getting a Condo within the next month or so. I'll definitely be building another turbo kit for myself before summer. This time around I'll know exactly what to buy and what not to buy. It sucks not having a boosted car anymore!
New exhaust setup is in and these are the 3.5" burnt titanium tips I ended up going with.
