The top half is different in terms of a new piece, honestly it is the same just has f sport logo and don't know if the filter is oiled or not, it does have a label to not oil it though and use a filter cleaning kit because it is re-usable and also has an aluminum pipe instead of the black plastic piece

Great info! Does it only come with a new half top of the box or the whole thing?

So if we already have a Joe Z intake all we need is the new "hi flow" filter. I thought may be it would have a new bottom with a hole in the front like the 2IS style. So no more air entering the air box than the stock set up, right?

Will the new f sport filter fit into the stock top box? The new pipe eliminates the sound generator right?

I was under the impression that the f sport top box would have a sound generator build in, since you mentioned a deeper sound.

Thanks for the info BTW.

Looks great

Does anybody know if we can order the filter alone yet? I'm sure they'll be available separately at some point, but those of us with Joe-Z intakes are eager

I e-mailed Sewell yesterday. Their reply was no on just the filter, had to buy the entire intake. If you look at their website there is a part # for just the filter, PTR03-53141-AA. So why give it a separate number if it can't be bought?

Aloha,
Larry

It would look nice if it was carbon fiber to go along with a carbon fiber engine cover

Because it will be available as a separate item shortly. Give it a month or two and we'll be able to order just the filter.
