Someone on this forum mentioned they did/saw some test with paper (stock) filters vs k&n and some other brand, and the airflow was actually less with the aftermarket filters. Sound-wise, you're still using the stock airbox, so it'll be muffled by that regardless of what filter you use. And as far as hp gains, you already get enough air with the stock config and your car only takes in so much of fuel and air based on the tune. But do post your experience! Maybe it will make the car a bit louder, who knows.

Noticed a tiny hp gain? How? Timed 0-60 or 1/4 mile runs? Dyno?

Your butt-dyno isn't going to notice a HP increase of 5% or less. It's all placebo

That's good to know that you gained some sound. I'm about to just rip this intake out of the car in favor of greddy, i miss that short ram sound. The car sounds like a prius right now. Took all the joy out of driving it in any mode other than eco. I feel like the spirit of the car died once the sound was gone. At this point I don't even care for any hp gain which I have yet to notice...Ideally it would be nice to have someone nearby with the same car and set up a (safe) drag race to really see any difference. I'm sure there would be nearly none. At least not something you can feel in your seat. So after trying two intakes, It's fair to say that the stock intake with its sound amplifier is so far the best bang for the buck (free!). Sorry to sound so harsh, Joe z, your intake quality is awesome, but it just needs more sound like like joe z exhaust which sounds incredible. A complete intake system is overdue !
