So I did this today along with magnaflow axleback. And I got the sound I was looking for. With just the axleback it was low and deep but not that loud. By deleting the resonators It became noticeably louder but you can hear the throaty/sport g35 sounding exhaust. Not alot of drone as well.

The Gt Haus exhaust by meisterschaft exhaust is AMAZING heavy cost though at 2k

I got my secondary cats and resonators deleted and got them straight piped. It makes the car sound like the the sound generator is active all throughout the rev band. It also sounds a lot throatier after 3k RPM. I am running stock mufflers until my Joe Z comes.
In essence what you hear inside the car is what is heard outside the car. No perceived drone as the stock setup drones a bit already.
After the first day there was no support welded in between the pipes in the mid section and it caused the pipes to rattle and vibrate. Once the exhaust sorted itself out it (welded a support beam and natural expansion and cooling), it actually sounds pretty good with some rasp above 5k. When cruising the exhaust is near silent and could pass as stock. You get the best of both worlds.
I think when my Joe Z axle back gets it'll sound pretty good.

I deleted the mufflers on my 350 and it sounds amazing. I seriously think that people owning a 350 should try this before they go and spend so much more money on another axle back system

Im surprised no one has gotten hks for the 3is. 750$ for dual titanoum tips 400 for install and custom straight pipes pretty good compared to the over priced exhausts

The OEM Axle sections cost $511 each... $1,022 total
The OEM Mid Pipe runs $2,232
Grand total of $3,255 for the OEM parts... Now lets say something goes wrongwarranty wise and you need to put the car back to stock..
Are you going to go pay to have all the modified piping & mufflers changed back to stock ?? And hope the dealership doesn't notice ??
I have never cut up an oem exhaust on any cars I have owned.. Including an 88 Mustang..
Always replaced with a properly designed & engineered system..
Just my honest opinion.

I'm no expert on these cars, but like any system there are several areas where you can unbolt something - either a specific section or everything from that area and back. A good muffler shop should be able to fabricate whatever you want and source any parts they can't make, like high flow cats.

I went to a local muffler shop and the guy told me that possible but will be expensive , he quote 1700$ for full system custom made and 700$ for a custom axle back so I save the headache and ordered the new axle back invidia q300 from vivid racing .
