Well, i do have a build thread going, but havnt updated it in ages because of work on the car came to a stop. So i thought i would post this up in here. So i have a RHD toyota aristo and it came with a stock 2jzgte vvti motor. A mod i bought in particular was a titan stage 2 transmission from 2jzMotorsport out in Utah.

I read about other GS300 swapped with the gte VVTI motor and a supra TT trans. I know the old tranny that came with my aristo is different from the supra trans. Can someone please direct me as to how to get this working. I contacted a few shops locally and havnt heard anything back yet. And i confirmed this with TMS to see if this would work and they assured me it would. But unfortunately. i contacted them like last year. And now i cant get a hold of anyone at the TMS.

Anywhooo, if anyone has any info on how to wire in the supra TT trans up to the VVTI harness please post up. Any advice and help would be appreicated.

supra trans and aristo trans are both A340E (30-40LE). should be the same,

 

well, i talk to jimmy baily from Vex performance out in canada quite a bit. I think his user name is Bippu and the info he gave me was that the supra tranny is a 4 solenoid VB and the aristo has a 5 solenoid VB. And also he said the aristo doesnt come with a A340E its a 30-40LS.

i saw that thread several months ago. I thought they were the same. but apparently its not as easy to wire up as most people think it is I suppose. My builder is asking me to call titan to see how you wire the supra tt in to the vvti harness. So I will do more research and call more shops. Also any advice would be great!

update: exact problem is that the VVTI plug is a 10-12 pin connector and the supra TT tranny plug is a 8 pin connector. And he was wondering how does that hook up since hes use messing with gte motors with manual trannys
