Default ETCS failure!

Like most people, my ETCS failed. Luckily I was just cruising along a neighborhood street at about 25mph early this morning. I was able to limp around by almost putting the pedal to the floor. As soon as it failed and I had lost power, I knew exactly what had gone wrong.

I remember reading up on this issue several times and I also remember reading up about a Toyota Economic Loss Settlement regarding this failing part. I called Toyota but they don't service Lexus. I'm going to try Lexus tomorrow when they open.

I have a few questions about this issue. I just want to have my guns loaded.

Has anyone here been denied the service on this recalled part?

My car is a 1998 GS300, I bought it used about a year ago. I currently have about 130k miles. Will this not apply to me?

Any idea on how much the part costs?

It is back to normal now but I still want to see if the dealer will replace it. If not then I'll be getting a new throttle body motor.
