Default F-sport exhaust 2nd gen vs. 3rd is350

Has anyone noticed, who has had f-sport exhaust on their previous gen is350 vs. the new f-sport exhaust with 3rd gen is350 , is much quieter.
I have had it for 1 day so far, and I am not sure if there is a break in period. Its very quiet inside. I didn't do anything with the intake which I used to have the f-sport intake pipe and box. I heard this new one electronically makes a nice growl.

Curious what you guys have experienced.

Trust me... There is nothing electronically making sound in your intake pipe ..

I'm sure the exhaust is the same but the 3IS probably has improved sound deadening.

So I have read here in the posts, that if I upgrade my intake pipe it actually will make it more quiet, am I heading in the right directions?

Joe pointed out there is nothing "electrical" making noise in the intake but you are correct there is added componentry making noise. It happens to be mechanical and not electrical.

So yes, you have a little baffle that tunes the sound of your intake and brings out more desireable upper rpm noises.

If you slap on a JoeZ or Fsport intake, you will have less sound. If you slap on a "filter on a stick" intake you will get a ricey "woooo" intake noise instead of the tuned intake noise the factory worked on.

what about the just changing the filter to k&n or the blue f-sport, will that have any effect or is that necessary now that I have exhaust and need a bit better air flow

The KN panel filter is an option but assuming you "need" a bit better air flow from your intake because you got an exhaust is not necessarily the case. There isnt a lot of evidence out there that the stock intake cant keep up with demands. A cotton filter (KN) will give you a bit better flow although there is likely to be little to no horsepower gain realized. It will also not filter out particulates as well as the stock paper.
