I'm using this materials. Even with heat shield heat still get in.

I think mine is same as yours almost, except mine uses the dry white filter like pic posted previously. I didnt mess with heat shield like you did.

Same as my. after 30 minute of driving I can feel heat around filter. I'll will take picture of after later, cover top, bottom of the intake filter.

After picture. About 30 minute of driving filter was still cool. Before it was hot.

23.5 mpg 80/20city. Same as before going 70-80 mph on highway.
