Is250 vr tune
Hey guys. I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in the forums but I was unable to find information about the VR TUNE for the IS250. Does anyone have experience with it? I have done some research but can not come up with anything definitive. Thank you!

there are several post in the Second Gen IS forum about it. Looks like some of them are losing HP after installation.

Hey Hovik, remember that tx_is300 didn't do before and after dyno testing so he actually has no idea if he made power or not. The placebo effect can be strong with car mods.

Yes I did no dyno. That not worth it or needed for me personally. Rather spend that money buying a mid pipe.
Why don't someone else step up and try this? If the thing didn't work I would be the first to complain about it on here to warn others.. Besides , they already dyno the car so my experience supports what they claim.
Matter of fact, the company even called me to ask me about it. Told them I was pleased and they wanted me to post my feedback.
This is the easiest performance mod you can make for the extra zip and more importantly tightening up the transmission. Driving around in normal mode is like quick sand . The 2gen 6 speed was better. Now it is more semi sport mode in normal.
Also as a test of tighter shift points, how many of you see the traction light come on when full redline to 2nd? The car did not do this before chip mod. Prob combo of tighter shifting
And extra power.

Same tune applied to the isf. Vivid racing claims this chip is universal and works on all lexus ecu which should already raise red flags.
Guy dynoed and gained 3 hp others saw like 5hp which is not even a big difference to account for variance.
Always be wary of what others say when they try to sell you stuff. Most of the time half of it is not even true.
As for others saying they can feel the difference with their butt dynos, thats also biased info. Similar to seller, factors like placebo effect, buyers remorse, and money spent sway the outcome. Which is why there is so much snale oil products out nowadays.

I did the VRTUNE ecu flash from vividracing and I'm very happy with it, gears engage quicker and the Rev limiter is gone and honestly it feels much more responsive then b4. I was lucky to get a good deal from Dan, the Owner, and I beleive there is now a ECU flash for the ISF that works well.

Previously the transmission would shift prior to redline, now it passes redline and roughly half way thru the tranny will shift it self. Sport mode, using the shifttronic, honestly haven't really tried in automatic but I'll let you know.
