GS400 3UZ swap?

GS400 3UZ swap?
So I am faced with possibly replacing my engine in my "beater" GS400.
Sadly I bought a JDM engine from "JDM midwest" They suck and their customer service sucks. This motor has been cursed from day one.
I'm considering swapping an 01-05 GS or SC430 motor since it's easier to find low mile engines, and they should swap directly in.
I know that the HP ratings for the 3UZ are the same as the 1UZ but Tq is more.
I wonder if the increase in displacement is accompanied by "detuning" the HP in order to get better emissions?
That being said, if the 3Uz were run off of 1UZ ECU, maybe it would actually produce more HP?
Thoughts are appreciated on this one.

I am sure there was something in the tune to get from the LEV certification of the 400 to the ULEV of the 430.
.3 liters in displacement is not much but like you mentioned there is no HP improvement from that bump only tq.
I do not believe the ECU's were compatible though...

I am currently attempting this swap. Super excited to see how it turns out! :-) . So far it's been really easy and mostly plug and play. I should have it running in the next few weeks if I can free up the time to wrap it up!

Lol. Ok, I'll get pictures and more details up soon in a new thread. :-)
It's nothing crazy. Just a completely stock 4.7 motor from a 2007 GX470 going in my stock 2000 GS400. Should be a good baseline comparison tho. :-)
