Default Installed an Injen Intake

Just installed an Injen intake this morning. Looks pretty good. Haven't gotten a chance to drive it yet since I'm at work, but here are some pics:

The only complaint I had was that the engine cover hits the intake pipe. So I need to trim it a little when I get time:

Looks very nice. I like the shiny pipe. Trimming the engine cover shouldn't be too bad it looks like. Maybe put a small foam pad between them too to stop them rubbing.

Okay, initial impressions.....on free revving in park/neutral, it feels like it revs a little easier, better throttle response. In gear, the car does feel like it has a little more power. There's definitely some extra noise, but barely noticable (if at all) at idle or normal driving. You can only really hear it when you're at WOT at high RPM's....sounds really aggressive though. But I do love punching it to hear the grumble from the engine

yeah, with good mods, the sound and power make you wanna punch it all the time, but i can't handle the attention doing that brings.

so, you like the intake pretty much? care to give a range of what it cost ya?

I don't mind the attention...I'm still looking for a girlfriend Anyways, I do like the intake...though it probably doesn't make as much as the SRT with the ECU mod....but then again, the Injen won't void my warranty...I had talked to my local service manager about mods and he said something like a SRT with ECU mod would probably void it....but yet, he has a IS300 with a SRT intake with ECU mod....of course, he IS the service manager, so getting warranty work done would be easy

As far as price, they usually go for around $180 or so. I believe that the GS300/400 intakes are slightly different and have a heat shield...this one was designed for LS/GS/SC/430's. I got mine cheaper since I own a shop

that is a myth. I have SRT ECU, the dealer knows it, they even stated in my warranty receipt that the ECU wiring was modified. But they still do warrant service on my car just fine, never once complaint about it.
