next week we will be posting some more details. I've already got the EFR sitting on my desk for it.

We are starting from a 100% bone stock 8AR. For nearly a year we have been studying the code and are so confident we went up and picked up a vehicle strictly for development . We're all setup as CL Vendor and will be documenting everything
You mentioned "EFR" in passing. As in Borg-Warner EFR? If so, knowing ya'll play with Mazda's a lot is it the popular MX-5 EFR (6258) or maybe something a bit larger like a 6758 or 7064?

Even still, we have not yet seen the true limit of the stock turbocharger.

our development thread is available for everyone and we will be posting a lot of information about how the ECU works and why it's been such a struggle for everyone.

excited to see what your able to do with your shop car now that you have better tuning software. You should post some images for us!

We we have over 200 pages of information here, who would want to sort all of that. We have seen TTi hit 266whp 29Xwtq exclusive to EU, admittedly I would probably say that’s damn close to the limit unless possibly you have an extra 50wtq for us. Torque seems to big our biggest cap right now.

JRC a Taiwan company at one time sold two turbochargers locally. We haven’t heard much with further development but from what I’ve been told it’s 345whp utilizing a downpipe, intake tube(similar to HPS), tune and the modified turbo itself. The entire package was $2,800.00 excluding labor. Not bad. I consider this to be the benchmark for the modified turbo charger. Anything past 345whp would have significant costs

We will have everything posted in detail in our development thread soon. Probably have the full write up ready next week on what we have been working on.

6758

In case anyone on here is wondering about the size difference here from stock.
Compressor side inducer: OE 40mm EFR 53.9mm
Compressor side exducer (OD): OE 54mm EFR 67mm
Turbine wheel: OE 41.25mm EFR 58mm

Now this will be a single scroll turbine housing (unless Matt has plans to make a twin scroll T4 "manifold" I would put money on a standard T25 or V-band adapter) but the way the EFR's are made the larger Turbine side may not mean a lot of turbo lag vs. the stock unit. However with the 53lbs/min flow rate we at looking at a turbo with 400whp+ potential.

I hope this all come to fruition as this would be a riot to drive with those power levels.

Originally we had a RC200T planned but there was a problem with getting the car shipped. So our 8AR platform is the IS200T

A 2.0t rwd platform with an actual racing engine is pretty rare in the Jdm world. Keep in mind the TG20 is a racing engine to be used for wtcr class built to handle the power. I could shut down car meets pulling up with 400whp, no problem. Talk about the birth of something amazing... imagine the backfire and rev limiter sounds, so many mad v8s.

400whp is impressive if it can be done but the torque that comes with it would be insane. Lightly modded muscle cars wouldn’t even keep up let alone any heavily modded 2.0t or V6. The GTi would be a thing of the past. I’ve gotten myself excited all over again even 350whp is super reputable

Been away for a min!

I have a BMS Stage 1 on my RC300...is it worth it to switch to the JB4?

The JB4 isn’t fully developed yet but I would take advantage of getting the Stage 1 to JB4 upgrade before it is no longer available.

So, working further on our Stage0 93 octane flash we found a few places that boost leaks from the stock plastic piping, and created a quick replacement for all piping to continue testing.

Above 22psi the stock rear plastic intercooler pipe / coupler that attaches to the water/air intercooler on our vehicle leaked boost, so we quickly replaced all piping including the resonator above the heat shield to further testing.

Might not be the case on every vehicle but our development cars rear coupler hose has degraded

**this is for testing purposes**
