Nice how the powerband's wider and pretty much consistent from 4500 to almost 6000 versus the stock file's falloff starting at roughly 5100. Hope to see this improved low-end tune for the 78132 soon!
So I took my car to the track last night, 75 degree weather with 2 gallons of gas in my tank. And disappointingly the car ran slower than it did when stock, trapping a best of 89 mph, and an ET of 15.5. Stock it ran 15.1@ ~92 mph. I did 3 attempts and the times were pretty consistent, 15.5-15.7 and trap speeds from 87-89mph. I had an automatic transmission 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R run 15.5@ 86 mph back in the day so quite disappointing. I've taken most my cars to the track so I'm not new to drag racing.
It confuses my why the car feels livelier but is running slower, but maybe its all in my head (placebo effect). I'm trying to run logs but the data logger keeps crashing and closing once I connect to the car. I also tried re-flashing the car incase I did something wrong the first time, but def. says successful at the end of the process. I also tried re-downloading the data logger and rebooting my computer but it still crashes as soon as I connect to the car. At this point I don't think it makes sense to even dyno the car until it actually runs a better time. I will send OVTune a message about the logger crashing but I'm feeling pretty bummed at this point
I also wanted to add that the gearbox is still shifting at about 5800rpms in both Sport and Normal, and fuel/ignition cut is still at about 6200rpms. The paddles don't respond as quickly as they did on my GTI so I have to send the request at around 5800 rpms to get the shift at 6200 rpms or I'll bounce the limiter.

Really unsure why you are seeing slower times, but i think the shifting is the issue. We are still working on this part because some cars will not shift at the higher limiter even when we set it to. So on our current files we retain the stock limiter and it should automatically shift for you at about 6000
Edit** due to some TCU issues, the current update files will remain with the stock limiter for now.

Had the same problem with the logger. Running program compatibility fixed it for me

From May 1rst to May 12th we were down for a major software update, and update to the tune.
Now that this is all complete, 1.01 version G is the final release version. We are working this week to get ALL files on this version. This will be the last update for a while until our next patch, but that's not expected until later this year.
We apologize for the delays through this point, we tried to push these updates out as quickly as we can to get the car where we want it, and now we finally have it (as you can see with our latest results).
I spoke with a local performance shop today that does a lot of builds for European cars and some Japanese models. Wanted to see if they could do a turbo upgrade to the IS200t.
After looking over the car, they felt as if it would not be cost effective to do a custom kit. They will be doing some research on the turbo to see if it can be modified for more power.
I will post the info they provide once I hear back. They mostly do builds for Audi, Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. Hoping they can come up with something for this platform.
I got a response on this today. It looks like one of the shops they work with can upgrade our stock turbo. Looking to be around $2,500 for the upgrade which they are considering a full stage 2. They can make some fixtures and machine the parts to basically replace/upgrade everything inside the turbo.
Larger fuel injectors would also be needed. This entire setup with the right tune will put the car right at the 300whp mark.
If anyone is interested in this, let me know and I can see if they would be willing to do some sort of group purchasing discount.

Have you guys done any reliability testing for the increased boost on downpiped cars? The extra power sounds great but I’m worried about engine reliability with that much more boost over stock.
