TTI developed 2 prototype hybrid turbos for the is200t. Stock turbo but new internals. I know where one of thise are but does anyone gave any info where the 2nd one went or if anyone is running it?

When I looked into the rebuild option, it was still pretty steep. You will also need to upgrade the fuel injectors.

EFR 7163 if you really wanna go big or go home.
All with V-band IWG and our V-band to OEM flange
Bothering with making a hybrid of the OEM turbo is a bit of a waste of time when a bigger better can be pretty easily fitted

I'm having a problem with my car throwing a P2119 for "Throttle actuator control Throttle body range/performance". I'm guessing its related to the 1.02 tune but not sure. I have about 500 miles on the tune, and over the past weekend I've had 3 events with the CEL. It disables the throttle and brings the car to a stop. Depending on where it happens, it could be scary so I've put the car back to the stock tune to see if it'll come back. Kinda sucks b/c the 1.02 file was the best version I've had on the car.

excited for the bigger turbo! but wont we need some supporting upgrades like intercooler, injectors, cam, pistons, rods etc? does anybody even make upgraded parts like that?

Don't believe there is any aftermarket support regarding built motor upgrades. Correct me if im wrong, but nobody hasn't pushed the 8AR-FTS until engine failure. With the release of larger turbos, we can start pushing larger numbers and discover the power bottlenecks.

Pretty sure TTI gave up on the hybrid turbo modifications. Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Is this the dual scroll turbo. Will this affect at which the rpms at which the the power will become available. I know bigger turbo bigger lag but how much we talking?

The BorgWarner EFR line is extremely efficient. The materials used for their turbine wheel is about half inertia of traditional turbine materials. Paired with a ceramic ball bearing center section, this line of turbos gets up to boost making rpm in a hurry. Let's not forget it also uses a traditional "normally closed" pressure actuated waste gate, which eliminates the mechanical delay that our stock "normally open" vacuum actuated waste gate sees. In short, additional if any lag will be negligible.

Also guys we are in the middle of renovation for moving to our bigger shop, and plan to get to everyones tickets during this time, however this week is really crunch time for us so it may be a few days.
Regarding calibration / tuning.
a few people are having issues on 1.02, but overall majority it is working really well.
If you have a 53N82 ECU though, we are working on some further enhancement testing. You'll be receiving more info from us regarding this.
we have more than 1250 ECU tables at our disposal and won't quit until we have bled every drop of safe power out of this engine . Right now I'm working on hijacking the code of a few tables to do some additional things for us.
