Cool! They have a piggyback system (AFE scorcher) just like the TOM's power box.

I was able to really test it out on the way to work this morning (20+ mile commute) and i would say that the car does feel more responsive! Some may say its the placebo effect, but i think this tube is allowing the turbo to breathe better and therefore better performance.

Tony extended the downpipe group buy till 5/3! We need 1 more person

I second that it looks nice but honestly for a rubber tube kinda over priced

ok guys update, I loaded a test map that Tony sent me and it was as smooth as butter no issues at all, I guess internet is the main requirement so make sure you have a solid connection 👍🏼👍🏼 Actual MAP should be loaded tomorrow

Hard to say with intakes on turbos. Consensus on BMW forums with BMWs pushing 600-800 RWHP is that even then intakes are minimal gain, if anything. Even on those 800 hp beasts, you're looking at a 5 hp gain i think. So on ours. maybe .5hp? lol. Most people buy them cause they look cool. if you have the money, go for it! FWIW, stock intake systems are generally extremely well designed and are built with a lot more air cleaner surface area than needed--lots of redundancy built in

I know you're on the N54tech forums, so when are you getting your 330i? lol
I think the stock intake system works just fine as well, so with the addition of the intake tube and drop in filter it may help the turbo breathe easier. Once i get the down pipe and stage 2 tune i think it will play a role in making those gains.

I agree, stock intake with drop in filter in most cases is more than sufficient

Yea, the cone filter intake systems are good for cosmetics and sound. Since I've installed the intake pipe i did notice my boost spiking and then returning to 17-18 PSI.

Sorry guys I haven't given you an update for awhile, so we loaded the Stg2 map on my car and all aspects about the power have improved noticeably, however we are having problem were my car is not giving any boost over stock boost levels, at the moment am working with Tony to try and figure out why, not sure if its Regional Rom difference or somwthing else.

Thanks for the update, I'm sure Tony will figure this out! What is the boost gauge reading?
I've been maxing out (18-19 PSI) with the addition of that intake tube.
