Exhaust sound clip of stock vs Invidia AxleBack vs Invidia AxleBack+Midpipe
#16
Anyone know if the JoeZ cat back is indeed quieter than the ark cat back? By looking at it I would think it would be because it had traditional style mufflers where ark doesn't even look like it has mufflers lol. But the helmholtz design might make up for that? Like you, I'd rather not be aggressively loud because I'm not driving a 700hp vehicle. But the stock exhaust is just too blah.
I also prefer not to get an axle back when it'll cost just a bit less than a full cat back without the power gain.

It's interesting that the ARK appears to have secondary cats whereas the JoeZ does not, yet it is removal of those that contributes a fair bit to increased volume. For daily driving it's not going to be a huge obnoxious increase that makes everyone stare; loudness is primarily on cold start and when dropping the throttle.
A midpipe will cost a minimum of $280 (Tsudo) to well over double or triple that. Although the axleback is less than 2" piping, it's the midpipe where the main restrictions are and the most gains likely to be seen.
