Default Aftermarket BOV Valve for IS 200t?

Does anyone run an aftermarket BOV valve on the IS 200t? Or know of anyone?

If so, please share. I'm interested in getting one for my car.

Thanks!

Some cars recirculate the air back to the intake from the OEM BOV, so try locating the line and disconnect it and leave it blowing to atmosphere, but make sure you cap the intake side so nothing gets in. Before service return the line to its place.

This is a cheap solution to get that wosh sound .

Or you could get an aftermarket BOV from tial or any other maker. BTW you may need to fabricate a plate to install the BOV if no production version is ready yet.

I've been wanting to do this as well, but I don't think it'll be easy since the MAF sensor is on the intake, and the factory BOV is somewhere behind it, so there will probably be some issues.

The HKS super sequential BOV is loud. You will need an adapter put on the the intake plumbing to fit it. A good tuner shop can do it.

I've used both the HKS and the Tial BOVs on cars.

Doesn't the V in BOV stand for valve.
Therefore you wrote valve twice.

Lol, didn't think of it. Google says bov valve for some reason and it stuck to my mind.

Don't get a BOV! It will make your car run rich causing it to backfire. Lot of NEWb turbo vehicle buyers do this and regret it.

You would need a BPV - By Pass Valve, that recirculates the air back into the intake. Company like Forge makes great BPV. It is little louder than the factory but not as loud as BOV. And its 100% cosmetic upgrade and not a functional upgrade what so ever.

agree. You really only need to upgrade to a stronger BOV if you are running a big turbo and the stock BOV spring can't handle more air and boost. It starts to leak.

So it's kind of a waste if you are just looking for the sound.

Are there any BPV/Hybrids worth getting for the stock application, that will increase the sound, and not be harmful to the stock turbo?

Also, has anyone applied it to their 200t?

Get an intake if you want to hear the turbo sound effects.

Default blowoff sound

This is what mine sounds like with the air filter removed from the air box. I know there is a lot of controversy on if this is bad for the car but have experienced zero problems for 3 months. Will see though might bite me in the *** for a cool little sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJad...ature=youtu.be

Like the other member said, get an intake. If you did get a bov to work you'll probably need a tune.
