Default Megan Midpipe + Tanabe Axleback

I have a 2010 Is350 with the Tanabe Axleback exhaust. It sounds awesome compred to stock. I like that it is quiet compared to most exhausts but sounds great at WOT. How much louder would a megan midpipe make the car? I know invidia is way too loud and eliminates the cats. I have a family so I cant make it crazy loud but hope for a little more than the Tanabe. Thoughts or experiences with sounds? I realize there is no real hp gain as well.

I don't think it will necessarily be louder, I think it would be a deeper tone than your stock. When i switched to megans, i didn't really notice a significant change in terms of Decibels. It was just a more throaty growl.

Give us a sound clip when you do it. I was gonna pull the trigger on the tanabe but it was just too quiet without a midpipe and I never heard the system with a midpipe

When I added my Megan midpipe to my Tsudo Axleback I thought it was going to get louder too. Realistically it only became deeper and slightly more throaty as mentioned above.

However, being the guy I am, I had the resonator removed from the midpipe and now it is slightly louder than before and definitely helped fill up the mid to high rpm range with exhaust sound. In short, I love it. And I don't plan on placing the resonator back on. I get complements on how nice the sound of my car is pretty often. And although it isn't super louder like a ton of other cars, you can still definitely hear it if I'm flying by you lol.

I'd recommend getting it if your considering and are trying to improve the sound of your Tanabe. With the resonator on it should only make your exhaust deeper and slightly more pronounced but not loud. If you want a louder but less refined sound, buy the midpipe sold by Invidia. Hope this helps.
