GS480 Stick Shift For Cheap Asses!

I ran OEM Supra pads and rotors on the front and Akebono premium pads in the rear to correct the bias.
You should be fine if you do something similar. Whatever front pad you do, just get the next more aggressive pad for the rear. The only problem that I can recall was flatspotting the front tires on a 40* wet morning.
That was the only time I unintentionally locked up the fronts.

Great, i guess i won't worry about it then. Just better pads for the rear, simple.
Did i mention how nice it is having a whole spare parts car?? Got another rear set of calipers to pretty up to match my fancy wilwoods...
I chose VHT black wrinkle paint. Hopefully it matches

Action Package!!! IIRC, all the action package cars were GT. I have yet to see one that was a GTS....
Have you been driving it? The brakes are going to make a huge difference. They'll match what I imagine the power of the car is like.

HOT DAMN, this thing can STOP! From 80mph, it's nutty how much this thing tries to throw your guts out of you. Crazy better stopping, the ABS does a good job managing it. The seller of the wilwood stuff had set me up with his old rear pads and rotors, but changed his mind, so i ordered new drilled/slotted rotors with metallic pads, hoping that's a more aggressive compound.
I never messed with different brakes much, but wow, very different pedal now. The MK3 is getting my set of Brembos for sure!
I think it stops so hard, a little oil came out of my dipstick... Wait, that sounds weird...

Couple deals popped up where... I MUST BUY THEM
First i found a set of my foose wheels, $200. I want them because i have one steer wheel i welded that I don't like.
Second, just today i was about to pull the trigger on Supra Turbo brakes. UNTIL i found this:
Was asking 650, i offered 5, and dammit they accepted! I had to.
But If anyone is interested, i found a source to get supra turbo brakes WITHOUT core charges for $175:
