Flash 2017 IS300 ECU to IS350
#31
Just got my 2017 IS300 AWD non-Fsport ECU tuned by RR-Racing. My car is basically stock with an F-Sport intake and the tune simply turned it from a 300 to a 350. I won’t go into the details of the tune since you can get more info from RR-Racing website or just call them up.
Fortunately I’m somewhat local (2 hours drive to their shop), but if you live far away you will need to send in your ECU since the current handheld doesn’t work with 2017 model. Anyway, it’s definitely worth the money since the cost difference of a 300 AWD and 350 AWD is roughly about $3,335 (for my area). I would take Uber for a few days and send in my ECU if I live far away...but that’s me.
Anyway, I’ll try to leave more feedback once I drive it more but the car pulls harder and smoother throughout the first 3 gears. Hopefully I can hit the track to get some 1/4 mile time soon.
Thank you Rafi, Simon, and the RR-Racing crew for making this possible.

Yes we dynod the car. This particular car was bone stock. 248whp is what a stock IS350 AWD would pull on a dyno, although I will emphasize that it was very hot that day and our shop is not climate controlled, so if IAT's were in the 70-80F range, we cold easily see another 10hp.
As far additional gains, the tune definitely benefits from a full exhaust system, not to mention headers (or our new Supercharger for that matter.

Does this mean the 2017 ecu map is ready to be purchased?
Thank you Rspec...

The only way to tune the 2017 at this time is to send us your ECU, and we bench flash it. We have a "same day" turnaround time, so you will not be without your ECU for long.

So how has the tune been working? I've been waiting to hear how you like it compared to stock since I have a 2017 IS 300 F Sport and have been itching to get this tune setup.

Here is the bottom line, if you tuned a 2017 IS300 to IS350 specs the dealer would have no way of knowing. The only possible way to detect it is if you notice the higher rev limit, so we can easily keep the rev limit stock.
In any case, engine problems with these cars, especially during warranty period are unheard of. We have been running our shop 2014 IS350 supercharged with 360+whp for nearly 8000 hard miles now without a single hiccup. We have tuned 100's of ISF's (some of which are high mileage) and RCF's without a single reported engine failure, EVER!

I was wondering, what is the difference between your tuner and VR Tuner? I have not seen that many people talking about VR Tuned Gearbox. VR Tuned saying we can reverse back to factory settings.
