something I noticed on your posted video, when you go to take off. It literally looks like the car doesn't even start moving until the rpms hit 2800. that seems a bit odd. I have the same converter and stall speed and mine doesn't do that. Im gonna shoot a video of a launch from stand still for comparison. btw, your car sounds great. trying taking off quickly with your vsc off. I can see your traction light blinking which means your computer is pulling back on the power since its detecting wheel slippage. It should take off way faster with vsc off unless you just roast the tires.

I think it is a lack of sticky tires and/or cold roads up there in Canada. Maybe he was brake stalling it as well?
My launches looked identical with blinking traction lights before my Super Sports even though I had the LSD, my tires were not good

The TQ and ShiftKit go together really well, the shifts are definitely quicker and seem more snappy, especially under half throttle or more.
I had my stock wheels and tires on, all season Continentals. I should have better traction with my 275 wide 19"s.
I wasn't brake stalling, I was pulled over to the shoulder of the highway so there were lots of dust and pebbles around, not good for traction. I'll do another video with VSC off with and without brake stalling.

Awesome! I'm tempted to not only turn the valve body dial to the stiffest, but now do the shift kit. Although after some reading, unfortunately, I've read that the A650 shift kit isn't really a shift kit per-say, it is more of a re-fresh or re-build kit and transgo said it is not performance oriented. Others say it increases the firmness of the shifts.
I read that shimming the accumulator springs will have the desired affect on crisper shifts. Some guys built their own rods, and others like the IS guys are running toyomoto shift kits, as well as Danny did on his GS400 build. Unfortunately this is a $165 kit on eBay that is just basically 3 rods. I have also read some guys using coins to shim the springs, like Angus on here, and some other IS guys.
I also got my TC in today from the great guys at Performance Torque Converter of Texas. It cost $300 + shipping to have it restalled to 2800 RPM, requesting tolerances closer to 3K than 2.5K if possible. JD was extremely helpful, with a 24-hour turn around time. When I opened the box it was painted too, something I honestly didn't expect but love it! It looks great and matches my silver/black theme. I know no one will see it, but it will make me feel better and looks better than before. The welds are also really nice. It will go in after March 30th, and I will be sure to post some videos with a review.
