Dex, why do you have to get the valve out of the PCV? The PCV valve is locate by the oil cap and to bypass the coolant hoses you don't have to remove the PCV.

See his directions - you have to remove the valve from the inside of the PCV so the coolant will flow

I see, can you try a small screw driver or a small pick and punch the valve out. Let us know how it work out and any hp gain.

I have done this mod about 4-5 months ago and I feel it works very well. You can try this another way without taking the throttle body off. and You don't need to take the use the PCV valve. I just bypassed the throttle body and "capped" the hose leading from the TB (lower small hose) and removed the top (large hose) and capped the ends. I don't think you need to have the water flowing. You will need to make sure you use a plug that fits securely. I used a small hose clamp to secure the lower plug. I'll try to post pics of what I mean a little later today.

I've given up on this PCV valve route - it ain't coming out - I even tried drilling it out. I put everything back together and will hit an autopparts store to truy to find a coupling this afternoon, or tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip Ricky. I'm not a fan of blocking it off though - I want the coolant to still flow.
