Default Stupid question..?..

Was just curious if they made an intercooler for the '16 is200t. Dug around google and found a ton of universal ones but, was curious if someone made a front mount one vs the factory one that I believe sits on or near the engine. That didn't take cutting the whole damn thing apart...

The 200t (8AR-FTS) motor came with the air to water intercooler, so it uses coolant to cool the air before going into the intake manifold.

Then that's like the "intercooler" on the supercharger in my truck.
I take it then there is no way to go to an air to air system. Even the "cooled" water returning from the cooler is hot as hell.

Yes, Lexus claims that they were able to shave off some 0-60 time by having this system versus the air to air setup. A lot of newer turbocharged cars are running the air to water intercoolers like the M3/M4 and Infiniti Q50/Q60 3.0T.
