Difference in F Sport and Stock intake 3IS
Hello i saw the pic of the F Sport box and i saw that the difference between this and the stock box is one extra square hole in the front. I also know that there is no sound generator on the F Sport intake. So are the only differences between the two going to be the extra hole on the front of the box, no sound generator on the F Sport intake, and just cosmetically more appealing on the F Sport (F sport box cover, machined intake tube, and the blue connectors)?
I have the F-sport Exhaust on the way! Is there any benefit to pairing the exhaust with the intake? Which one has more intake sound? Thanks for your help !
I see and read that the HPS intake tube will allow me to keep the sound generator. How is the beneficial to have the HPS intake tube vs the stock ? Is it just larger or is it just for cosmetic purposes?

I think all aftermarket intakes gets rid of the Valve cover vent input on the intake, and you have to vent to air. Removing valve cover vent input would technically increase performance as to not lower octane rating by mixing in oil vapours. The only thing is your engine bay will likely smell like oil.
Edit: Valve cover vent goes into the intake tube, PCV intake is closer to the throttle body..
