Default 2001 Lexus IS300 error codes

I have 3 error codes P1349, P0161 and P0141. It seems to drive ok for about 20 minutes then starts cutting out and now when I start it the trac off light is flashing. I am not a mechanic, I am a girl and I love my IS300 but don't want to take it to Lexus dealer. Any suggestions? Thank you Lexusgirl

P1349 is VVTI system failure. This could mean a clogged filter or a worn VVTI solenoid

P0161 is Oxygen sensor code - Bank 2 Sensor 2 heater malfunction.
P0141 is Oxygen sensor code - Bank 1 Sensor 2 heater malfunction.

So both of our rear O2 sensors need to be replaced as well

I am currently dealing with the same issue. I replaced the VVTi and cleaned the lite screen but it did not fix it so it is my o2 sensors. The Bank 2 upstream is a pain to get to.

Is there a thread on here for replacing the upstream Bank 2 sensor, the one next to the firewall.

Upstream are near the head. Pretty easy. What codes are you getting?

Yes I'm trying to replace the sensor next to the firewall without having to take off the manifold

On the stock manifold there is plenty of room. Take the throttle body off. That will give you a clear shot.

I don't think you understand what sensor I am talking about.

If you're referring to the front o2 sensor attached to the exhaust manifold then, yes, you can get to it easier by taking the throttle body off. It doesn't require removing any manifolds.

screw that. I made a video on how to do it without taking off the manifold on YouTube. Rantchant316 is the channel if interested but it turned out not to be the issue anyways. Freak incident caused my timing belt to jump.

i learned the hard way that if you have the stock exhaust manifolds you do have more room as previously mentioned. if you dont have stock manifolds then you need a short 22mm and a crow bar of some sort. You should have room to stick your arm between bank 1 manifold and bank 2 manifold to get the 22mm wrench on then using the manifold itself for leverage use a pry bar/crow bar or anything that wont bend to get the sensor loose .. definitely do it when the engine is cold or you'll burn yourself.
