Default Cat less with ppe headers and exhaust

so what’s the deal. If I do that will my car not pass emissions so I can’t renew tabs? I had an 05 wrx fully castles and passed emissions. I believe I had something that tricked the Ecu into thinking I was still catted if I remember. Thanks for any info
