Default Torque Converter question

Is there a difference in torque converters for the 98+GS 300/400/430?
Or are they model specific? Thanks.

I know for a fact that 300's and 430/400's are different.

O.K. Thanks.

I really need to know if there is a difference between the applications for the 430 and 400. Would the 430 work on the 400, and likewise the 400 for the 430.

O.k. The TQ fits both the 400 and the 430. Verified by RMM.

Now, do you guys think a 2500 stall would be fine for a 400 with intake/ecu and no LSD?

Why not the 2800 that most get? That's what I have. LOVE IT.

B/C I can get a PI/TQ that was on a GS430 for $400.

I believe it's still good for 1free stall change though from P/I.

Yeah that would be great, but he said PI will give a free stall speed change, not free installation.

Doh! Yep. Hell, I'd still jump all over the TC for 400.

Hey. I'm new here and I just bought an SRT intake system and ECU for my 2002 GS430 and am looking for more power. How much is a TQ and where can I get one?

Welcome to CL, let's see some pics of your GS!

First off, I suggest doing a search using the big box on the top left of the screen on 'torque converter'. You'll get a lot of info that you should read on questions that have already been asked.

You can pick up a TC from one of our vendor sponsors, Steve Ganz at www.l-tunedparts.com. Contact info his on his website or you can PM him here at sn SupraTRD.

He had a group buy on them for members not too long ago, probably has some left, though I'd guess not at group buy prices.
