Default I’m bewildered: 2JZGE intake y-pipe removal

I’ve searched and searched and I’m at my wit’s end. I’ve removed every bolt on the intake y pipe and it’s loose, but I can’t figure out how to remove the plastic egr assembly from the big metal fitting. It’s almost impossible to remove the metal fitting because there’s a bolt on the back of it and I’m sure that’s not what everyone does. That’s the only thing keeping the intake from coming off. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Can you maybe post a picture of what you're talking about? The first time I removed mine it was pretty easy to take off and don't remember anything preventing me from doing it really.
