Default Resonator swap?

I have searched near and far and cannot find that anyone has done what I want to try. My previous car was an 06 Acura TL. It had a resonator, mid miffler, and the 2 rear mufflers. I removed the mid muffler, and replaced the factory resonator with a Dynomax 24215 race series bullet muffler. I made a huge improvement on sound. Gave it a deeper, more hollow tone. It sounded good when on the throttle, and made ZERO noise on the highway or at steady speed. Has anyone tried replacing the factory resonators with something else, and leaving everything else stock? I am just looking for a little more noise on throttle only.
OH, and does the factory IS350 exhaust have an x-pipe or does it just "appear" to have one?
