99 Lexus GS300
Ok....In need of Lexus experts here. Vehicle intermittently starts and becoming a pain the butt. Code B2796 no communication with immobilizer system. Replaced: crank sensor, cam sensor, some leads(pigtails on wire harness that needed replacing), check plugs and coils. New valve cover gasket, new transponder, transponder amplifier, new transponder key coil. Immobilizer system still failing to read the key. Intermittently starts, getting annoying.
Thinking of digging into and replacing all parts that make up the ignition. Also, want to replace the driver side door lock actuator because when I try to unlock/ lock the door. The doors stay locked.
I dont want to get the ECU because it is expensive and because I feel it's an easy fix. But just cant pinpoint the problem.
Anyone? All suggestions welcomed.
