Default Advice before I dig in

Hi I知 new here I bought a 2000 gs300 yesterday and I want to aristo swap it. I知 looking around and all the swaps seem to be around 3000. Is that correct. I致e checked eBay and done lots of googling but since price doesn稚 seem to differ much is there a more reputable company I should buy from or is there a detail that I don稚 know of that sets others stuff apart. I知 also looking for lsd recommendations ie brand and where to buy. I manage a junk yard and have lots of gs and sc and a few is so feel free to contact me if you need stock parts thanks in advance

I'm not quite sure on the exact price it'll cost you, the motor will generally be above $2000 and having another shop swap it in could be another $1-2000 unless you were doing it yourself. There are specialized shops out there that can do Aristo swaps for you for a quoted price. One that comes to mind is DRAG International in Florida. They specialize in Aristo swaps and can get one done with everything working like it should factory for $6,000. Look around your area for warehouses selling JDM motors. Phoenix has plenty of local shops selling them. Nevada has Osaka motors but I heard some rude things about them.

If you go on craigslist you can usually find JDM importers with the GTE engine available. You can ask them about their guarantee on the engine or what protection they offer if it's a turd. See if they want your engine as a core and take a video that it its a good running engine.
