The shifting issue is more evident, or only exists on 3rd generation line; 250/350s?

Or it also affects the 2006 or so to 2013?

Just got mine a couple of weeks ago and experienced this in auto mode. Had to step on the pedal(5th gear) to overtake and the limiter kept bouncing in red line and didn't want to upshift. I had to let go of the pedal for 2 seconds and it finally upshift.

I have never experience this issue from my previous tune (2017 IS300). This updated tune SUCKS big time. Leave the AUTO MODE alone! and just enable this in Manual mode.

I thought about getting headers and switching out my Apexi Midpipe for an ARK(since all catless exhaust have pretty bad rasp) but what I have heard from some long time ARK exhaust owners is that with headers the cats in the mid pipe overtime cause the honey comb filter to become loose due to the force of air. For spending $1700+ on a catback exhaust + $1000 PPE headers + 500$ labor I find that a hard pill to swallow.

I also debated on getting Hi Flow cats on with the headers but that defeats the purpose of freeing air flow. Can't go full exhaust without the rasp in these cars unless cats are in place somewhere.
i guess I’ll wait until I reach 60k miles on my 16’ IS300 AWD. Currently sitting at 32k miles with an ARK exhaust

it filters the noxious fumes out of the exhaust gasses and makes the exhaust not smell as strong.... the factory exhaust has 4 cats....

Wow I didn’t know that..
by the way out of curiosity would you happen to know why I hear small rocks in my exhaust? When I cold start the car that’s when I hear it the most.

any suggestions?

Sucks to hear you guys having issues with your tunes. I'm curious now why they are sending an updated file with the 7000RPM limit tune versus the 7200? I have the 7200 and I think along with everyone who has the tune installed they face the split sec rev limiter bounce before the car shifts in AUTO.

Got the tune for my 2014 is250, put close to a thousand miles on it so far.
Coupled with the fsport filter+intake and invidia q300 exhaust, it's definitely the best thing I've done to this car.
Love how the throttle response is with the tune.

Sent in my ecu on a Saturday fully expecting to get it Monday, Simon got it turned around to me same day.

Can't wait to see how it feels with new wheels+tires.

http://blog.rr-racing.com/news/servicepolicies/Re-Selling RR Racing OBD Tunes

RR Racing tunes are sold for one specific car only. They cannot be used to tune multiple cars. However, our customers can resell our tunes following this procedure —

a. The stock file must be written to the ECU first (please select Write/Stock File).
b. The existing customer must contact us by emailing to service@rr-racing.com or calling 484-756-1777 to let us know that you want to sell your tune. Please provide the name you used buying the tune and device serial number (on the back of the MyGenius device, or on the Info screen of Powergate device).
c. We will email you the procedure to reset the device.
d. RR Racing has a tune transfer charge that can be calculated by taking the cost of a similar tune minus $250. The cost of transferring a tune to a new car for the same tune owner is $120 (the previous car must have been flashed to stock).

****************************

IMO, if they are going to charge for the transfer tune, WHY MAKE THE ORIGINAL OWNER BRING THE VEHICLE BACK TO STOCK?
The first owner paid for the tune, the new owner or whoever, will have to pay again.
The company is cool etc, but there are certain business practices that makes them look is all about making more and more money, state taxes greedy attitude, lol.

On RR’s site for the ECU Tune, the last bullet point says “Raises speed limit” I figured that meant Increases Too Speed and I have heard it mentioned. mkane got to 153 in a video 👍🏼👍🏼

i could have went over 153mph..just had cars coming up in front of me, id guess top speed is 160-170mph. im also on the 6800rpm tune as the 7200rpm tune causes my transmission to slip when flooring it, no issues with the 6800 tune. 2016 is300 awd
