Default Redesigned intake and silicone radiator hoses coming

So I got in touch with HPS because they were looking for a gs430 and I thought they were only going to make some upper and lower hoses but it turns out that they also made a heat shield box for their intakes like the k&n ones for the 400s and apparently the current design hits the engine cover so they're adding a bend and making a new coupler for it. As if that wasn't enough they're also going to make an upper strut bar which should be ready in a couple months. I love the welded emblem and the quality of the hoses is top notch. Intake sounds very growly at wot but virtually silent on normal driving. The strut in the picture is one I already had. I'll update when they call me back for whatever design they make. The intakes will be in production in a few months.

Looks good, thanks for volunteering to be the Guinea Pig. lol. As mentioned above it is nice to see still interested in making quality parts for our cars. Question, the hood closes with no issues with that box installed?

Default Everything good

No issues since this box is designed for the 430 specifically. On a side note, just installed the Apexi smart controller and I've already cycled through the settings, very noticable difference between eco and Max boost mode, tomorrow I'll drive it for the first time and hopefully it makes it feel more like my 400s' throttle response. Cleaned the engine and she's looking mighty fine. Had to get a new belt though, **** started squealing and never went away.

Oh, well if all else fails, you could just make your own. I do on all my builds. You can see mine in these pics. 1 Little Caesar’s pizza box and $10 of heat reflective tape. It’s an option at least and it works fine.

I got in touch with them a couple weeks ago, there's delays in production with everything going on but probably in about a month and a half they should be ready to go. I'd say follow them on Instagram as they post when they release a new product.

HPS is sold out of the old design intake, hopefully that means that the new intake with heat shield is coming soon.

I have been hoping these would be available by now, but then haven’t ever seen them or anything similar become available for the 1UZ. I was thinking about picking up a set for the 2UZ and seeing how things line up, the kits I have seen look like they are a possibility. I have decided tho, for this kinda money, I want them to be a perfect match, and I worry they aren’t going to be a very good fit or they would list the 1UZ as compatible. I have been checking their website regularly and still nothing? I am sure COVID probably hasn’t helped but I thought I would see if anyone has heard anything else about the silicone cooling hose package?

Make your own intake cheaper and better! Also that heat shield.... What kind of heat does it shield? I wouldn't say engine bay heat

I am actually interested in the silicone cooling hoses. Silicone hoses can usually last much longer than rubber. So my interest is only in longevity and, but I still haven’t found a kit for the gs400, except to convert it to a 2JZ-gte, but a kit that comes with all the heating hoses and emissions hoses etc, would be a nice upgrade. I am always finding the rubber hoses cracking etc. and i would really like to have molded, original looking hoses, they have packages for Tundra’s and the LS460, so hopefully this kit will be available someday
