Does this intake use the stock air box? I have a drop in K&N filter already(stock air box). Want to know if I can use the same filter if I get this Intake.

Thanks....

Yes, this intake uses the stock air box. No need to change your K&N filter. Recommendation is remove the extra filter from the air box cover for better airflow.

Thanks for the quick response. I've removed the extra filter from the air box cover already.

Yes it does! Most aftermarket intakes that replace the stock airbox with an open, conical filter lose power over stock as they draw in hot air from the engine bay, raising IATs.

Please feel free to give us a shout with any questions - I see you're in PA as well, if interested, we offer installs as well!

Thanks for the reply. You guys are close....Exton is only an hour from me. One other question since you mentioned installs - if I decide on a tune, can I bring my ride to you guys for the tune so I don't have to worry about sending the OBD back/forth? If so, what do you charge for that?

Feel free to PM me if it's easier...

Thanks

This is the one, recommend with a high flow filter and ECU Tune: https://www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-...isxitk0001.htm

If you want to pair with our ECU tune (the IS300 really benefits from a tune as they are detuned from the factory), we give you a package deal adding on the Intake here: https://www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-...ig3xxtne02.htm

Absolutely! Please shoot us an email to contact@rr-racing.com and we can discuss pricing and get you on the install calendar.

I opted for the RR intake for 1. It eliminated the valve cover venting back to intake manifold that leads to carbon build-up and 2. Carbon-fiber is better than the OEM plastic.

Lost the (fake) sound generator from the OEM intake but it was replaced by the PPE headers sound which is great.

Fake sound generator? Care to elaborate? I am having a WTF moment.

Edit: Googled it... I take back my previous comment, that is stupid as ****. Reminds me of the old "whistle tips" that make the car go "woo woo". Why would they do this from factory?
