Looking to get either ark grip or apexi midpipe. If I only got the midpipe and left my f-sport axle back on, would I see any hp gains? They are advertised to increase performance, but i'm wondering if anyone has real experience with either product.

This is also going to be my first "performance" mod to the car. Possibly rr racing tune after.
Also if anyone recommends a better midpipe feel free to let me know as well. The real reason for getting a midpipe is for sound but i was always curious about performance gains as well.

 

Most aftermarket midpipes remove the secondary cats, thus reducing restrictions. This typically results in more power. The ark and apexi midpipes both remove the secondary cats.
Do you have the full OEM exhaust or did you replace the axle back with the F-Sport Performance Exhaust from Lexus? If you go the ark route, you are forced to buy the entire system (unless you find a used midpipe). You may not want to go that route if you already purchased the F-Sport Performance Exhaust.
I'm sure some of the vendors here will chime in with their options but you may want to look into the invidia midpipe since it tends to be cheaper.

 

Only the Apexi midpipe or Invidia midpipe is available. Ark doesn't sell just the midpipe.

Yes you'll gain more power than stock, less restrictions as mentioned above.
