Default Exhaust mid-pipe differences

Bit of an odd one but hopefully someone can help me out,
i have a 2007 is250 running the 3grfse engine,
my original mid pipes are on their last legs.
i have purchased a fairly new mid-pipe from a gs300 (ridiculously cheap )and was wondering what the physical differences are.
my plan is to cut the pipes break out the cats and weld back up so it still looks like standard pipes.
i have a modified nvidia axle back exhaust and just want to try and release a little more power and sound.
thanks in advance

Get a invidia midpipe?

what exactly do you mean your midpipe is on its last legs? Is it like starting to have many holes or leaks or is it cracking or what? Just curious

it had a hole from where the heat shields were, so i removed the shields and patched it up, but now its getting the same further down.
i have the gs300 midpipe, just had some sleeves welded to it to slip on to my pipes. Was just curious if it would be a straight swap before i get under the car.

if you are talking about 3rd gen GS the mid-pipe won't fit, GS is a longer car even though IS chassis is just a shorten GS chassis..
