Default Video: L-Tuned Exhaust on GS300

Everyone wanted to know how the L-Tuned exhaust sounds on the GS300. Below is a small video with near cd quality sound. Lemme know whatcha think. Spent 6 hours trying to get the damn rusted over and stripped bolts out.

Brendan -

Sweet sound....not too loud or annoying. How does the pedal feel w/ the new exhaust? Can you feel more HP?

Actually I can feel a difference! I guess the difference isnt that apparent on a 400 because its already got so much torque -- but i definately feel a big increase in torque and pickup.

Just got my mufflers adjusted as well. The left was one was leaning to the left and the right was leaning to the right. Now they are both center, and it only costs $15! YAY.

Thanks for the clip. How's the dreaded drone? I've been putting off an exhaust because of noise and FI (to see what works best with whatever I got SC or T) but your clip does sound pretty good.

Neo: The drone actually sounds good to me to tell you the truth I'm not even sure if I should label it as a drone since it's not annoying to me at all. Just sounds like the exhaust is making it's noise

futuregs: Yes, being a broke college student sucks! I'm running on $50 for the next week and a half. Gotta find some odd jobs to help me manage, hehe. Trying to save up for wheels man. Hopefully I'll get some soon though! Thanks bro!

Ahh thanks bro That's actually a crappy clip video

You should see some of the others. Check www.lexusdrivingschool.com for another video I made.

Used Adobe Premiere 6.5. I've got a Panasonic MiniDV camera and a Pinnacle Video Capture card (Fireware IEEE 1394).

I'll have a nice long edited video at the end of the week.

Hehe, thanks bro There will be a NICE video tonight. Will post it in the GS forums.

BTW, for the video above, that was using my Canon Powershot S50 (digital STILL camera w/ movie function). Didn't have time to whip out my real DV cam

Brendan,
Glad you got the exhaust ok and glad that you like the way it sounds. I like the deep noise that it made but i couldn't handle the droning inside the cab. D@mn, 6 hours? I guess it isn't a 30 min job for everyone.

6 hours, yup You know how there's 2 bolts on each side? Well, one bolt on each side was rusted and corroded and wouldnt come off. The one of the left side took 1 hour to take off. The one on the right took about 5 hours total.

I've got pics and a little video of us hacking through it

Also, the right exhaust is aligned perfectly, but the left one I'm working on fixing. It's a little to the left and drops about half an inch lower than the other at the moment.

Overall, I love it bro Thanks man!

I have tried to undo those bolts so that i could hear the car without mufflers, but yah like you said they are all rusted out and corroded took so long that I didn't bother. sounds great btw.
