604GSE21, would the HKS 32003-BT002 Hi Power model muffler / exhaust (Cat back Section w/ Y-Pipe - 60mm (2.36in) Diameter center pipe with 115mm (4.53in Diameter Tips), be the same model used for the F-Sport 60mm exhaust (PTR04-53091) 43% larger than original IS exhaust with Up to 1.5% power increase) offered by Lexus (06-2013 IS)?

Is the OEM exhaust 2.5" diameter with 4" diameter tips?

F-Sport axleback is about (picture) this big!

ID of tips is definitely not 4"...

I'll be under it to install LSD Superlock some time soon. I'll measure it after it dries off.

Considering either of the following cat back systems;

Tanabe / Revel (Medallian Touring -S exhaust) T70113AR
HKS Hi Power Rear Section w/ Y-Pipe Exhaust Lexus IS350 / IS250 2006-2013 | 32003-BT002

Would any additional information regarding installation, fitment and quality be available for the two systems?

HKS Hi-power axel-back and F-Sport axel-back exhaust is technically the same since the F-Sport exhaust is made by HKS. the difference is the muffler, where the HKS are both fart can, and the F sport have one muffler that is straight thru and the other muffler is not.

Thank you 604GSE21. Do you know if the mufflers that are included with F-Sport exhaust (PTR04-53091) available as separate part numbers, or only available with the F-Sport cat back exhaust?

Tanabe T70113AR / Revel Medallion Touring-S Rear Section Exhaust - Dual Muffler - Pipe Diameter: 60 mm (2.36 in.) to 50 mm (1.96 in.) / Tip Diameter: 100 mm (3.9 in. x 2) / Full SUS304 Stainless Steel Construction. / Under 93db Performance / Fully Tig Welded / Dual-Wall Angle Cut Tips. / Straight Through Muffler Design.
HKS Hi Power Rear Section w/ Y-Pipe Exhaust 32003-BT002 - Tip Diameter 115 mm (4.52 in.) / Center Pipe diameter 60 mm (2.36 in.) S409 material

The Tanabe exhaust uses the higher quality 304 stainless steel (vs 409).

all these exhaust that you've picked are not cat back, they are all just axel-back. ARK, Invidia, megan and Joe Z makes catback for IS250/350 rwd. so, if you do want cat-back and quiet I recommend ARK or another option is Megan or Invidia mid-pipe with tanabe(revel) axel back

Yes, thank you. Meant "cat back " (mid-pipe, muffler, tailpipe and tips), and not "axle back" (muffler, tailpipe and tips). Incorrect terminology used. Interested in freeing up exhaust flow.

What is the Joe Z part number for the ISX50 2nd gen? Is there a performance benefit if the Megan, ARK etc. mid / X pipe pipe (resonator / removes the secondary cats / resonator ?) was installed with the OEM exhaust (Megan Model # LI0625 ?)

I assume installing the
HKS Hi Power Rear Section w/ Y-Pipe Exhaust 32003-BT002 with the Megan mid pipe would be very similar to the now discontinued OEM F-Sport exhaust (PTR04-53091)? I've come across additional post that the HKS Hi Power may be the loudest axle back exhaust for the SX50 2nd gen. Is much drone experienced with the Tanabe T70113AR / Revel Medallion Touring-S Axle back system with the Megan mid pipe (part LI0625 ?)

Thanks again for the follow up!

In addition, it picks up a few extra ponies. Damn thing had me missing my shift points and bouncing off the limiter until I adapted to the change as it rev's up quicker. The F-Sport removed a serious restriction present on the OEM system.

What's the best place to find ann f exhaust used?

thanks,

Would a member have the following cat back system installed;

STM Stainless Axle-Back Exhaust 2006-2013 Lexus IS250/IS350 (Part STM-LEX-IS-06-EXH)

Ahh they are very different. The 2nd gen F Sport exhaust is noticeably quieter than the HKS (not by much but noticable) The one muffler and one straight through actually gives it a unique sound. Another thing is the F Sport has more tone in the higher RPMs. The HKS dies out just a little. (Assuming you have the stock resonator on)

It looks like this is just a muffler delete. If you go on YT and search Lexus IS muffler delete it will sound like that. My brother had one. A bit droney down low and loud. No rasp though.

Came across the following video comparing different exhaust sound bites (I do like the Tom's Racing and Apexi N1-X cat back (I'd prefer a Cat-back exhaust systems due to it typically yielding more performance benefits than an axle-back exhaust).
