My quick fix blew out so I ended up doing a permanent fix instead of dropping over $1k on an oem exhaust mid pipe. I haven’t welded in over 15 years but thankfully I know how to use a grinder lol. She’s sealed up now and coated with high temp engine paint to protect it. My highway mpg went from 22 back to 29 mpg, hell ya!

Default 2013 IS 250 Awd Straight pipe HELP

So Ive been introduced to the sound of a MUFFLER delete and RESONATOR delete on the 2 is but am still trying to figure out how I should go about this?
Anyone who has done this on their 250 And can breakdown how they did? Is it as simple as going to a muffler shop
DO I NEED to purchase my XPipe or Pipe Online or do the muffler shops handle all of that themselves.
Many of yall 2is owners are probably familiar with this youtuber;
who has made his is sound super nice and I want to replicate it

maybe try reaching out and asking him what exactly he did?

Does anyone know if gaskets such as the ones from the secondary cats that connect up to the headers, if the gaskets would just wear and leak even if the car isn’t driven often?

I am surprised that you were able to weld, on very thin pipes. My mechanic tells me after so many times, welding holes in the pipes that it becomes more and more difficult to weld the pipe because the pipes are much thinner now, then they were years ago. Your previous repairs using the 2 inch SS butt joint exhaust band clamp, don't require to weld so avoiding making new holes by the high temperature generated by new welds.
Please correct me if you think I missed something, or got it completely wrong.
Thanks a lot for your effort to show us your repairs.
